Talk Show Host,Jerry Springer is dead

Sad news for Television as Talk Show host, Jerry Springer died today at his home in suburban Chicago after a brief illness. He was 79.

His publicist, Linda Shafran confirmed his death.
Jene Galvin, a lifelong friend and spokesman for the family said in a statement;

“Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” “He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humor will live on.”

Though Springer was the former mayor of Cincinnati, he is known for his show, The Jerry Springer Show which he had no idea would last more than 13 weeks.

He was born in London during World War II and came to New York with his family as a child.

Wow, I had no idea he was just 79, I thought he was older. He did give us a lot of entertainment.
