Shout Out To Mothers and Children

Shout Out To Mothers and Children

Last night was really annoying for me cos my laptop is down
and the emergency one I use is just too damn slow. So I decided (not
intentionally) not to post anything yesterday. Then I went to bed really early
and had the most wonderful dream. The thing is, I’ve never had such dream
before and this is one of the dreams I wished I could not wake up from.
This dream made me appreciate motherhood and children. Not
that I don’t think kids are adorable and a blessing…The dream made me connect
with children and the angelic powers they have on us. Though I’m not yet a
mother, in the dream I had two kids; my first child a boy and the second a girl
but still an infant. And I held her in my arms; she was so beautiful, peaceful,
innocent…she felt like a part of me and how I could never let her out of my
sight no matter the situation I’m in. I felt a joy that I’ve never felt before
and it made me wish I didn’t wake up.
Most times the dreams I have are either; I’m in school, my
exes, the one that got away, sex (but not anymore, thank God), in the woods,
being chased, hanging out with my celeb crush (not sexual o!) or celebrities,
my late father, friends from secondary and university, that I’m writing exams
and have nothing to write, that I’m flying (I no be witch o,lol) and more…
With all of this you’ll call me Joseph the dreamer, right? Maybe I am *tongue
out*. But sincerely my dream means a lot to me and kind of sends me a message
and I begin to ask myself; is my subconscious telling me I’m ready to be a mother?
Is it that time of the month? Or I’m I just having malaria, lol. Shout Out To Mothers and Children
You know, as a single girl that does not have kids; when
your friends that have kids gush about them, you’ll be like common on! Give us
a break…you are not the first to be a mother and you won’t be the last.
Besides you were once a kid and still someone’s kid, it’s really not a big
deal…But until, you have kids of your own, it really is a big deal! Having a
life in your stomach for nine months, you are not just thinking about yourself
anymore, you are thinking about protecting the life in you. Therefore your diet
changes (except for some careless mothers), your health, your approach to life
changes, you do everything that would be best for the life in you. That’s what
a child does; they make you more responsible, they give you a sense of purpose,
they open your eyes to things you never knew existed. I experienced all of
these from a dream…I know! That’s the time of dream i have.

So I want to use this means to celebrate every
mother and thank God for using us as a means to not just recreate but have a
reason/ sense of purpose, to help change the world by giving guidance from one
generation to the next. And I’m not saying people without kids are worthless.
Everyone has their destiny, some are lucky to find their purpose and it may not
involve having kids, it could be something better. But what of those that can’t
find their way? Or know where they are headed and suddenly this little creature
comes into their life and changes everything? Don’t they deserve to be
appreciated? And to know that they are equally doing good and changing the
world their own way… they most certainly do! The truth is; not all women are
great mothers and should have children. But the ones that do, I want to use
this medium to appreciate you. And a special shout out to my very good friend
(not mentioning her name cos she would freak out) that would be a mother soon;
you are about to experience something really great and I know you’ll be
wonderful at it. Congratulations to you!!!

Love to hear from you
