The next person to respond to Gerard Pique’s abrupt declaration of his retirement from football is the mother of his former partner Shakira, who is still reeling after the defender’s shocking revelation.

After playing a minor part for Barcelona under Xavi, the 35-year-old defender who had slipped down the pecking order made an abrupt announcement of his retirement from the game.

Nadia Ripoll, the mother of Shakira, has now endorsed Pique’s decision since she thinks the Spanish defender must have given it careful consideration before making a choice, according to Sportskeeda.
