Heartbreak: On Thursday, Celine Dion's husband and manager René Angélil died at their Las Vegas home just two days shy of his 74th birthday (pictured in 2011)

René Angélil,73 who battled with cancer for almost 20 years passed away at their vegas home two days to his 74th birthday.Celine Dion wrote on her official facebook page;

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Rene Angelil,aged 73,diesd this morning at her residence in las Vegas after a long and courageous fight against cancer. The family wishes to live the mourning in privacy.

René leaves behind the couple’s fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson, 5, and son René-Charles Jr., 15.

Angélil also has a son Patrick, 47 with his first ex-wife, Denyse Duquette, and a son Jean-Pierre, 41, and daughter Anne-Marie, 38 with second ex wife, Manon Kirouac. May his soul rest in peace.
