The 31 year old Oscar winner showed off her toned physique at a beach in Maui on Wednesday. she paired the amazing Marysia swimsuit with a wide-brimmed straw hat and large tortoiseshell sunglasses and accesorized futher with a silver belly chain. She will also be starring in and producing Chimamanda Adichie’s ‘Americanah’ novel, a cast in JJ Abrams Star Wars Sequel and uh voice the character of Rakcha in a remake of The Jungle Book. She’s one busy girl right?
Lupita also announced Thursday that she’s acquired the rights to adapt the Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie novel Americanah into a film, which she will both star in and produce.
Taking to social media on Thursday, the stunning 31-year-old excitedly confirmed the rumors.
‘Yes!!! ‘Tis true: I acquired the rights to make a film of this amazing book by this amazing writer.
I HIGHLY recommend the read. #Americanah #GrabIt,’ she captioned an image of the book cover.
The epic love story tells the tale of young Nigerians Ifemelu and Obinze, whose romance is tested when Ifemelu emigrates to America to get a university education while her boyfriend winds up in London.
They face the toughest decision of their lives when they are later reunited in their homeland.
A statement released by the star revealed her utter delight at adapting the acclaimed novel – which was the winner of the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction – for the silver screen.
‘It is such an honour to have the opportunity to bring Ms Adichie’s brilliant book to the screen,’ she gushes. ‘Page after page I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze’s stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humour and heart.’
An uh,she will also be a cast of JJ Abrams eagerly anticipated Star Wars sequel as well as voice the character of Rakcha in a remake of The Jungle Book.
