Nigerian Singer-songwriter, Tems win first Grammy
Congratulations are in order for our very own, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems first Grammy win. Making it not just her first Grammy but the first Nigerian (non-mixed) female Grammy winner.
Tems won Best Melodic Rap performance for her collaboration with Future and Drake for the song ” Wait For U”
According to the singer, “it is just the beginning” and I totally agree. She is also up for an Oscar nomination for her co-writing credits for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever song “Lift me Up” perfomed by Rihanna.
And if she wins that, she might just be on her way to being an EGOT.
Aww, I am so proud of her. I knew she would take at least a Grammy home. Congratulations Tems, keep making us proud.
Meanwhile, see her chilling with Beyonce and Jay Z at the Roc Nation Launch party below;
Seems She loves bright colors, see how she is rocking that white dress.
