Two of my favorite pop princesses seem to have buried their long lasting feud…Well,Katy precisely!
During an interview with Thrive Global founder and CEO Arianna Huffington and promotion of Katy Perry’s new album ‘Witness’ release themed;“Witness World Wide” livestream. Perry said she is ready to let go;
“I am ready to let it go,” “I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her.” “there are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world.” “I love her, and I want the best for her,” she said. “And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and I think that, you know, if we, both her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, ‘Yeah, well we can do this.’” “There’s a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on, and I truly, like, God bless her on her journey,” she said. “God bless her. Honestly.”

Katy also discussed having suicidal thoughts;”I feel ashamed that I would have those thoughts, feel that low and that depressed,” “I didn’t want to look like Katy Perry anymore.”
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift beef started in 2013 during Swift’s Red World tour ,when three of her back up dancers left to participate at Perry’s Prismatic tour. Perry reached out to these dancers after her album release during the middle of Taylor’s tour and these dancers who had worked with Katy in the past left willing,they even discussed the issue in an interview;
“We were with Katy for two and a half years, she’s like family to us,” said Lockhart Brownlie, one of the dancers. “We weren’t really dancing in Taylor’s tour, anyway, so I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour.”
Taylor took it very personal and discussed with Rolling Stone. She said;“She did something so horrible,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” Taylor also wrote a song “bad blood” (of-course!)about it.
You know,at first i thought it was about a boy,remember Taylor and Katy both dated John Mayer? Anyways,Katy is trying to make amends. Though during a carpool karaoke session with James Corden few days ago,after Ms Perry was asked about Ms Swift,she said;“Honestly, it’s really like she started it and it’s time for her to finish it.”“I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble,” she said. “It was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me, and I’m like, Okay, cool, cool, cool, that’s how you want to deal with it? Karma.”
Katy was set to release her new album “witness’ online on June 9 and just few hours before the release Taylor Swift official fan Instagram account announced that she would finally be releasing her entire catalog of songs on all streaming services (including Spotify where she pulled off her music some years back,making it impossible to stream for free) at midnight as well. Taylor also discounted the price on all of her existing albums on iTunes.
I think is very mature of Katy to let by gone be by gone and Taylor Swift needs to grow up,like come on! Really? releasing her songs on spotify?!That’s just petty! Like how far would you go in this thing of the past? First all you ex boyfriends (though it made hit music),to Katy,then Nicki and Calvin Harris…Geez Taylor!
