Adele Tops Official Album Charts

Adele’s album 30 is ruling the charts with Easy on Me at number 1,Oh My God at number 2 and I drink wine at number 4.

With first-week chart sales totalling 261,000, 30 overtakes ABBA’s Voyage (204,000) – It’s the biggest first-week for an album since Ed Sheeran’s Divide in 2017.

30 is also the most-streamed album of the week with a staggering 55.7 million plays across its 12 tracks.

This is Adele’s fourth UK Number 1 album; she has now reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with all of her studio albums, a record for a female act. All of Adele’s previous albums are also present in the chart this week; 25 (Number 15), 21 (Number 18) and 19 (Number 31).

Ed Sheeran is seriously coming behind her at number 3 and 5 with “Shivers” and “Bad Habits”.
