The Shake it off singer as been named Billboard Woman of the year. Speaking to the magazine,the 24year-old singer and songwriter talked about switching from country to pop for her 1989 album;
‘I wouldn’t be a singer if I weren’t a songwriter. I have no interest in singing someone else’s words,’ ‘He went into a state of semi-panic,’ ‘When you write a song, you’re writing about a momentary emotion,’
‘To take a song and try to apply it to every situation everyone is going through… is asking a little much of a piece of music.’
Though i’ve not heard all her songs from the 1989 album,i’m not so crazy about ‘shake it off’.
