Can Someone Explain This Seyi Shay’s Music ‘Mary’ Video Ft Phyno?

Seyi Shay is an amazing singer but this Mary song is a total fail! Like i don’t get the lyrics at all. Though the video has a lot of Rihanna vibe going on it would have been better if she didn’t actually show an image of our Blessed Virgin Mary (Yes,proudly catholic!). Like what is her role in this song? And what in the world did she do to you (isn’t it what the song is about – “Mary why you do me like this”)? Even Phyno is wearing a T-shirt of Her,like WTH?The concept of the song and video is just confusing..
