Rihanna makes Chart History with Eminem.

Good match: Their previous release Love the Way You Lie, made it to number two in the charts back in 2010

Rihanna and Eminem have scored this week’s number one single – leaving boy band One Direction trailing behind at number four with their new release.
The Monster, aptly-titled for the week of Halloween, places Barbados-born singer Rihanna alongside The Beatles and Elvis Presley as one of just three acts to have hit the top spot in the singles chart seven times over seven consecutive years.

Her previous release with rapper Eminem, Love the Way You Lie, made it to number two in the charts back in 2010. The Monster, from The Marshall Mathers LP 2, is Eminem’s first number one hit since 2006, when he featured on Akon’s Smack That.
