Ayo Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, said that the late, great artist Bob Marley inspired him to want to “live forever.” He discussed with Guardian UK on his new album “More Love,Less Ego”;
“Not physically, but for whatever I create to live forever,” he explained.
He said, “I was like, ‘Yo, we’re watching a Bob Marley play and this guy died decades ago.’ “I didn’t even know that he died at 36. He did so much at a young age. It just reaffirms what I do; I have to keep taking this to the highest heights. “Because I know one day they’re definitely going to create a play about me.”
He is definitely on his way there.
“More Love, Less Ego.” will be released on November 11, 2022. The artist unveiled the 13-song tracklist on Tuesday, which included, among others, Ayra Starr, Naira Marley, and Skepta.
