Olivia Culpo said she thought she was going to marry Nick Jonas

Since winning the Miss Universe competition in 2012, Olivia Culpo has come a long way. In 2013, she began dating pop sensation Nick Jonas. The following two years were spent dating before their breakup in 2015. Until now, Culpo has kept their relationship a secret, but now she’s opening out on her new reality TV series, “The Culpo Sisters.” It focuses on Olivia and her two sisters’ life -like “The Kardashians”.

Olivia was questioned by the show’s producers about her previous connection with the pop star on the first episode that aired this week.

“I did date Nick and that was a very formative experience for me. I moved to LA with him. I had no brand, no money and I was in love. That was great right, but when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity. My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love. I thought we were going to get married, I thought all the things, and I just remember night after night looking up at my ceiling in my apartment that I couldn’t afford thinking to myself how am I going to pay my rent.”

The pop singer wed Priyanka Chopra in 2018, and they welcomed daughter,Malti in 2022. While Culpo has been dating Christian McCaffrey, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers since 2019.
