On Friday it was reported that singer-songwriter,Joni Mitchell had died but the story was published in error as her representative reports that ‘All is well’.
“I can confirm all is well so this was done in error,” says a representative for Rhino Records, the company involved in Mitchell’s ongoing reissue series of her catalog material.
People magazine reported the faux news but has since taken it down. The headline read; “Joni Mitchell Dies at TK AGE,” with tell-tale signs of a pre-write obituary.
Mitchell suffered a brain aneurysm rupture in 2015 but has been making public appearances recently. In April, she walked the red carpet and spoke with a line of reporters before being honoured at the annual MusiCares Person of the Year dinner.
