Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s mum is dead

Sad news for popular Nigerian author,Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as she lost her mother, Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie (nee Odigwe) on Monday, March 1st, 2021 in Awka, Anambra State at the age of 78.

The family spokesperson said; “It was very sudden and we are devastated.”

This is heartbreaking; last year June, she lost her father. The late Mrs Adichie was the first female Registrar of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). She is survived by six children;Ijeoma, Uchenna, Chuks, Okechukwu, Chimamanda and Kenechukwu; as well as, nine grandchildren.
