Bad Bunny’s ex sues him for $40 million over ‘Bad Bunny, baby’ recording
Latin singer,Bad Bunny has been in the news lately for reportedly dating Kendall Jenner and dissing her ex.
Now the Pa Ti singer is being sued by his ex,
Carliz De La Cruz Hernández for using her voice in “Bad Bunny baby’ recording without her permission.
According to the Lawsuit, De La Cruz claims the recording was used without her perin 2016 fo Pa Ti and on2022’s Dos Mil 16 as well as in promotional material,in concerts and on different music platforms.
‘Since then, thousands of people have commented directly on Carliz’s social media networks, as well as every time she goes to a public place, about the “Bad Bunny, baby.”‘
This recognition ‘has caused, and currently causes, that De La Cruz feels worried, anguished, intimidated, overwhelmed and anxious.’
The suit contends that in 2022,De La Cruz was offered $2000 by representatives Bad Bunny and Rimas Music to use the recording, saying it would be used on the upcoming album Un Verano Sin Ti,which she refused but it was used anyway.
The 29-year-old singer’s rep is yet to comment on the suit.
Hmm,my question is why is she suing now? Since she claimed she recorded her voice in the bathroom and sent it to him while they were dating in 2015,what was she expecting him to do with it (knowing fully well that he is an artist)?
And why didn’t she sue back then? Now that he is recognised and dating a Jenner, all of a sudden you are suing for 40 million?SMH.
The fact that Bunny’s rep offered $2000 (I think they can do better than this),means he asked her before using it in 2016 (maybe he didn’t pay her back then) and feel they should give her something for wanting to use it again.
