Ivy Getty stuns in mirror gown for her wedding
This has got to be the most creative wedding I have ever seen.
Artist and model Ivy Love Getty tied the knot on Sunday with photographer Tobias Alexander Engel which was officiated by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at City Hall in San Francisco.
Ivy wore this mirrored gown by John Galliano for Maison Margiela Haute Couture down the aisle, paired with a couture veil which had guitar symbols and a headdress. Christian Louboutin shoes, designed in collaboration with John Galliano, completed Ivy’s look, along with pieces borrowed from her grandmother’s jewellery collection.
Her friend and actress, Anya Taylor-Joy was her maid of honor and singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo was spotted at the ceremony.
Toby proposed with a sapphire engagement ring on a yellow gold band that’s reminiscent of Princess Diana’s ring. Diamonds from a necklace Ivy’s grandmother gave her when she was a teenager were added around the centre stone Vogue reports.
The designer,John said he doesn’t usually design bridesmaid attire but when he heard Ivy’s story about her friends ,he couldn’t help it.
Ivy has got great taste thanks to her designer family background. Even Royalty didn’t have such elegance.
Ivy Love Getty is the great granddaughter of J Paul Getty and one of the heiresses to the oil fortune.
Happy married life to them.
