Lollapalooza drops DaBaby following homophobic comment

DaBaby cancelled

DaBaby is going to have a really hard break following his homophobic comments about the LGBTQ community and misinformation on HIV/AIDS.

During his Rolling Loud performance, The rapper encouraged the audience to put their cell phone flashlights in the air if they “didn’t show up today with HIV/AIDS or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that will make you die in two to three weeks,”

After he received backlash from LGBTQ community and some celebs like Madonna and Elton John ,he tried to apologize on twitter but it just made things worse;

“Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” DaBaby wrote. “What I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. But the LGBT community… I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. Y’all business is y’all business.”

“for any brands, networks, or artists that like to profit off of black rappers influence on the culture, without understanding it or having the patience to deal with what comes with the position we play in our culture. Keep yo money next time.” “Other than that y’all cheer the fuck up & be proud of who you are cuz you can’t make me feel less of myself.”

Well ,i guess with his statement above he doesn’t mind being dropped by Lollapalooza. They shared a statement on twitter;

Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love. With that in mind, DaBaby will no longer be performing at Grant Park tonight. Young Thug will now perform at 9:00pm on the Bud Light Seltzer Stage, and G Herbo will perform at 4:00pm on the T-Mobile Stage. pic.twitter.com/Mx4UiAi4FW
