Beyoncé declines performing at The Grammys

Artist, Beyoncé one of the Grammys biggest winners have declined performing at the 2021 show which takes place on Monday, March 15.

Interim Recording Academy CEO and president Harvey Mason Jr. expressed his disappointment to the LA Times;

“It’s unfortunate, because she’s such a big part of the Recording Academy,” “We absolutely wish we had her onstage.”

Beyonce has nine nominations this year for “Black Parade”- record of the year, song of the year, best r&b performance and best r&b song categories. “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion is up for record of the year, best rap performance and best rap song. Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl” earned a nod for best music video, and Black Is King is a contender for best music film.
