Indiana Jones fifth franchise delayed till 2021

The Walt Disney Co. announced on Tuesday that the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise won’t be hitting theatres anytime soon – until at least July 2021. In March,Director Steven Spielberg said in he planned to start filming the fifth Indiana Jones movie in the UK in April 2019 but according to reports, script issues was the reason for the delay. This was after “Solo: A Star Wars Story” co-screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan was brought in to help write the film.

In the past,Harrison Ford told Jimmy Kimmel, he would do return to the his role if Spielberg was still the director and the script is really good. In an interview with the Sun,Spielberg said it would be Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie and also mentioned he might introduce a female indiana jones and she would be named Joan.

This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that,’ ‘We’d have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that… I’d be perfectly fine with a female Indiana Jones, but I’m sure someone, somewhere, on the internet will have a problem with this. Let’s cross that bridge when and if we get to it.’

Indiana Jones fifth franchise delayed till 2021

Hmm,i don’t know about a female lead Indiana Jones. I think if it’s the last ,it should be the last and let it die with Harrison Ford. He was born for that character. I saw that movie in the early 90’s (temple of doom to be precise),it’s a classic. Harrison Ford would be 79-years-old by 2021

The original Indiana Jones film – Raiders Of The Lost Ark – was released in 1981. That was followed by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull in 2008.
