And now,The rapper has settled the lawsuit,In a statement to Pitchfork, Howard King—the attorney representing West’s touring company in the case—said that “the matter was amicably resolved.” In August 2017, West and his touring company Very Good Touring, Inc. filed a $10 million lawsuit against Lloyd’s and its syndicates, claiming that the company had never paid out insurance claims for the canceled tour.

A few weeks after West filed the initial suit, Lloyd’s of London filed its own countersuit against Very Good. They alleged that West’s reasons for the cancellation were “not beyond [his] control,” thereby denying his insurance claim. The company also cited exemptions to the insurance policy involving drug and alcohol use as well as pre-existing medical conditions. West’s team later responded to the countersuit to deny that those were legitimate reasons to withhold the insurance money.
