'For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't jeopardise your career': A handwritten letter from Tupac Shakur to Madonna in 1995 revealed the reason for their split as race-related

A handwritten letter by Rap legend Tupac have surfaced and it revealed the reason he broke up with Pop Queen Madonna. The note was written 18-months before he was killed in 1996. The’gangsta party’ singer revealed he broke up with the Material girl because she is white. A part of the note read;

‘For you to be seen with a black man wouldn’t in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem more open and exciting.
‘But for me, at least in my previous perception I felt due to my ‘image’ I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was’, the rapper, whose mother Afeni Shakur was an active member of the Black Panther Party activist group wrote, adding:  ‘I never meant to hurt you.’
‘Can you understand that?’

The legendary duo dated in 1993 and Madonna was 37 and Tupac was 23 at the time.

Aww,who knew Tupac and Madonna dated (though Madge revealed in 2015 on David Letterman) and he was such a romantic?According to TMZ ,the note is set to go under auction later this month at Gotta Have Rock and Roll with a starting bid of $100,000.
