Audioslave lead singer Chris Cornell, dies at 52,

Cornell, who had been on tour with Soundgarden on Wednesday night in Detroit was found dead that night. His representative, Brian Bumbery said in a statement to The Associated Press. Cornell had performed a Detroit concert.Bumbery called the death "sudden and unexpected" and said his wife and family were shocked by it. The statement said the family would be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause and asked for privacy.

Soundgarden was formed in 1984 by Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil and bassist Hiro Yamamoto with popular singles :"Jesus Christ Pose," ''Rusty Cage" and "Outshined" that received regular play on alternative rock radio stations. Chris later joined a band "Audioslave" in los Angeles ,California in 2001. May his soul rest in peace.
